Jay Alaimo

Jay Alaimo (born James Joseph Alaimo III in Suffield, Connecticut) is an American film director, writer and producer.

Alaimo's first film, ''Pretzel'', was made in 2001 which he wrote, directed, produced and appeared in as "Pierre Alexander".〔(【引用サイトリンク】 publisher = Hollywood Up Close )〕 He then co-wrote, directed and co-produced ''Slingshot'', which had its world premiere at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival. In 2006, he directed episodes of the television series ''Scrubs''. Starting in 2011 and through 2012, he directed the independent film ''Chlorine'', starring Kyra Sedgwick and Vincent D'Onofrio.〔 〕

Most recently, Alaimo wrapped principal photography, directing a new feature film titled ''The Wicked Within'' (December 2011).
His beloved side project (and admiration for surfing) had him partner up with Mickey DeTemple where they made two award winning surf movies. Picaresque (2009) and Sight | Sound (2011).
Summer 2013: ALAIMO and his producing partner Ross Breithenbach, shot a teaser for a new currently untitled) TV show about a real life, famous rock star who is playing an 'alter ego' version of himself – ala Curb Your Enthusiasm – and sets out to explore the real America on his own terms, from the actual drivers seat (not in a tour bus or limo).
Recently signed onto write (along with Brian Petsos) and direct a feature for a NYC based studio production company. Production to begin in fall 2013.
Co-Own's a 'vintage motorcycle inspired dry goods' shop in Brooklyn, New York called Smith + Butler.
Currently writing ''Choke Point'' for Sentinel Pictures
